Founded in 2017 and headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont, BETA operates production facilities at Burlington International Airport capable of up to 300 aircraft annually and deploys over 50 charging sites across the United States and Canada with global expansion underway. In late 2024, the company raised $318 million in Series C equity financing led by Qatar Investment Authority, bringing total equity capital above $1 billion; secured a $20 million U.S. Department of Health and Human Services contract for 22 East and Gulf Coast chargers; received FAA special airworthiness certification for its first CX300 production aircraft and integrated Garmin G3000 Prime avionics; and achieved the first U.S. passenger-carrying electric aircraft flight in June 2025. BETA completed its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange under ticker BETA in November 2025, raising over $1 billion at a $7.4 billion valuation; selected Abu Dhabi Airports for its charge infrastructure in November 2025; and maintains a backlog exceeding 600 aircraft from customers including United Therapeutics, UPS, Bristow Helicopters, Metro Aviation and U.S. military programs.
