Business
Rubfila International Ltd manufactures and exports extruded round latex rubber threads, specializing in heat-resistant varieties for elastic tapes, furniture webbing, braided elastic, medical applications, foundation garments, and other industrial uses. The company produces talc coated rubber thread (TCR), silicon coated rubber thread (SCR), colored rubber threads, furniture grade threads, food grade threads, medical grade threads, catheter threads, diaper threads, covered rubber threads, and super heat resistant latex rubber threads in diameters ranging from 0.40 mm to 2.1 mm, with products adhering to international standards including ISO 2321, ASTM D 2433, and BSI 5421; it also operates a carton division producing 3-, 5-, and 7-ply corrugated cartons with a capacity of 2,000 tons of kraft paper per month using advanced 4-color flexo printing, folder gluing, and stitching equipment. Certified with ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015, and OEKO-TEX Standard 100, Rubfila maintains two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located at Kanjikode in Palakkad, Kerala, and Swaminathapuram in Dindigul district, Tamil Nadu, with a total installed capacity of 27,500 tons per annum for rubber threads. Founded in 1993 and promoted initially by Rubfil Sdn. Bhd. of Malaysia with listing on the Bombay Stock Exchange since 1994, Rubfila is headquartered at New Industrial Development Area, Kanjikode, Palakkad, Kerala, India, and forms part of the Finquest Group, which holds interests in finance, textiles, and paper including brands like Reid & Taylor and Digjam. The company serves customers across 30 countries in Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Americas as a recognized Export House by India's Ministry of Commerce, targeting textile, medical, food packaging, and furniture sectors. It maintains a subsidiary relationship with Premier Tissues (India) Ltd., fully acquired in 2020. In recent developments within the last two years, Rubfila commissioned an additional production line at its Tamil Nadu facility in 2023, expanding rubber thread capacity by 2,500 metric tons per annum to reach the current 27,500 TPA total, and launched commercial production of its automated carton division in May 2023 with capabilities for customized corrugated packaging solutions. The company reported robust financial performance in Q2 FY26 ended September 2025, with consolidated net profit rising 32.45% year-over-year to Rs 8.00 crore on sales of Rs 150.24 crore, up 11.50%, alongside declaring a final dividend of Rs 2 per share for FY25. These expansions reflect strategic diversification into packaging while strengthening core rubber thread operations amid steady revenue growth from its three segments: heat-resistant latex rubber threads, paper tissues, and corrugated cartons.
