Business
Running Oak Efficient Growth ETF (RUNN) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks long-term growth of capital by investing primarily in exchange-traded equity securities of large- and mid-cap U.S. companies with market capitalizations of at least $5 billion, applying a rules-based approach focused on quality growth companies that exhibit above-average earnings growth, attractive valuations, and lower downside risk compared to the S&P 500 over a full economic cycle. The fund holds a diversified portfolio of approximately 58 equity securities, including top positions such as Darden Restaurants, The Cigna Group, Brown & Brown, CACI International, and Amdocs; it features a total expense ratio of 0.58%, annual dividend frequency, and allocation primarily to U.S. stocks (92.55%), with smaller exposures to non-U.S. stocks (5.39%) and cash (2.06%). Launched on June 7, 2023, and listed on Nasdaq, RUNN is managed by Seth Cogswell of Running Oak Capital LLC, the fund's adviser, which was founded in July 2012 and is headquartered in Edina, Minnesota; the fund operates as a series of the Kelly Strategic ETF Trust, domiciled in the United States and available for sale to U.S. investors. The ETF targets institutional and retail investors seeking risk-adjusted returns in the mid-cap blend category through a principled strategy emphasizing undervalued growth stocks across sectors like financials, industrials, and technology, as evidenced by holdings in companies such as Intercontinental Exchange, Marsh & McLennan, Visa, and Automatic Data Processing. As of late 2025, net assets stand at approximately $362 million to $379 million, reflecting steady growth since inception without reported major funding rounds, acquisitions, partnerships, or new product launches by the sponsor in the last 1-2 years. No significant strategic shifts, reorganizations, or operational changes have been announced recently, with the fund maintaining its core philosophy developed over four decades by Running Oak Capital.
