Rexel S.A. is a leading global distributor of electrical products, solutions and services for industrial, commercial and residential markets. Founded in 1967 and headquartered in Paris, France, the company operates approximately 1,875 branches, 68 logistics centers and 9 physical and digital channels across 17 countries in North America (44% of sales), Europe (49%) and Asia-Pacific (7%), employing over 26,550 people and generating €19.3 billion in revenues. It serves contractors, installers, industrial companies, facility managers and end-users with products and services supporting electrification in construction, renovation, maintenance and upgrades; core offerings include electrical installation equipment such as wires, cables, conduits, ducts, enclosures, mounts, racks, sockets, switches, circuit breakers, protections and attachments; lighting equipment and controls; heating, ventilation, air conditioning and climate control systems including heat pumps and water heaters; security and communication tools encompassing smart cameras, sensors, controllers, monitoring software, fire alarms, surveillance, access controls and emergency lighting; automation and energy management products like electric motors, variable speed drives, programmable logic controllers, building management systems and home automation solutions; renewable energy solutions including solar modules, inverters and electric vehicle chargers; tools such as hand tools, electrical tools and measuring instruments; and technical services covering building outfitting, energy distribution, audit, pre-sales consulting, recycling, training and digital/AI tools. Rexel emphasizes sustainable solutions with over 150,000 products in its Sustainable Selection and 85% of purchases from suppliers committed to its Sustainable Supplier Charter, focusing on energy efficiency, low-consumption lighting, high-efficiency motors and renewable energies like solar, wind, geothermal and aerothermal systems. In recent developments, Rexel USA acquired Warshauer Electric Supply in June 2025 to expand its Northeast U.S. presence, following 2024 acquisitions of Talley Inc. in the U.S., Buckles-Smith Electric in California, K/E Electric Supply in Michigan and Itesa in France; the company placed a €400 million senior notes offering in September 2025, launched the Sustainability Shapers Program with global suppliers in October 2025, partnered with the Women’s Forum for the Economy & Society for 2025 engagements, earned a renewed EcoVadis Gold Medal for sustainability, made appointments to its Executive Committee and reported Q3 2025 same-day sales growth of 3.0% driven by North America while confirming full-year targets.
