Rydex Government Long Bond 1.2x Strategy Fund Class H (RYHBX) is a mutual fund that seeks investment results corresponding, before fees and expenses, to 120% of the daily price movement of the Long Treasury Bond index for U.S. government securities. The fund invests at least 80% of its net assets, plus any borrowings for investment purposes, in fixed income securities issued by the U.S. government and derivatives thereof, including U.S. Treasury bonds, Treasury bills, futures contracts such as Ultra US Treasury Bond Futures, and affiliated funds like Guggenheim Ultra Short Duration Fund Institutional; it employs leverage to achieve amplified daily exposure to long-term government bond performance. Launched on September 18, 2014, with Class H shares, the fund is part of the Rydex Series Funds trust, managed by a team including Michael Byrum, Brendan Cain, Spencer Crane, and Scott Miller under investment adviser Security Investors, LLC, a Guggenheim Partners affiliate, with distribution by Guggenheim Funds Distributors, LLC; it is headquartered at 702 King Farm Blvd., Suite 200, Rockville, Maryland 20850, and primarily serves U.S. investors seeking leveraged exposure in the Trading--Leveraged Debt category. In a significant recent operational change approved by the Board of Trustees on November 20-21, 2024, the fund will undergo a 1-for-5 reverse share split after market close on or after February 21, 2025, reducing outstanding shares and proportionately increasing net asset value per share while preserving total shareholder value and rights. The fund maintains a gross expense ratio of 1.30% and net expense ratio of 1.28%, with distributions accrued daily and paid monthly, and total net assets of approximately $86.14 million as of recent reports.
