Business
Sdiptech AB (publ) is a Sweden-based engineering and technology group specializing in providing niche technology, technical services, and products for urban infrastructure systems primarily in Northern Europe and select international markets including the UK, Germany, and the USA. The company operates through four main business areas: Supply Chain & Transportation, Energy & Electrification, Water & Bioeconomy, and Safety & Security. Its product and service offerings cover a broad range of specialized infrastructure solutions such as electrical power monitoring solutions; vibration monitoring services and measurement systems; wastewater treatment and water purification systems; power supply and electrical automation; temporary electricity services; air and climate control products designed to optimize indoor climate, air quality, and energy efficiency; elevator installation and maintenance; roof maintenance; specialized ventilation solutions; and traffic enforcement systems, including radio infrastructure and traffic cameras. Founded in 2009 and headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, Sdiptech focuses on delivering advanced niche solutions that support the development, maintenance, and modernization of critical urban infrastructure in fast-growing metropolitan areas. The company targets clients across the public and private sectors involved in infrastructure development, maintenance, and facility management. In recent strategic developments, Sdiptech reorganized its operations as of January 2025 into the four new business areas mentioned above to align more closely with market growth drivers and industry trends. Additionally, in early 2024, Sdiptech acquired JR Industries Ltd, a UK-based niche manufacturer of roller shutter doors for commercial vehicles, expanding its footprint in the UK and its portfolio within the Special Infrastructure Solutions segment. The company has also been actively streamlining its portfolio by divesting non-core businesses acquired prior to its strategic shift in 2018/2019 to focus capital and resources on higher-growth areas. Leadership changes have also occurred recently, including the appointment of a new CEO and business area managers to strengthen the organization and support long-term strategic growth plans. Sdiptech’s operations serve primarily the Nordic market with significant presence in Sweden, the UK, Germany, Austria, Norway, Finland, and other European countries. The company’s strategy emphasizes technological entrepreneurship, regulatory compliance, and sustainable infrastructure modernization to meet expanding societal demands. This comprehensive approach positions Sdiptech as a key provider of specialized technical infrastructure solutions supporting urban development and environmental sustainability. The company continues to pursue growth through strategic acquisitions, tighter business area focus, and innovation in critical infrastructure technology.
