SEI Exchange Traded Funds – SEI Select Emerging Markets Equity ETF (NASDAQ: SEEM) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing primarily in equity securities of companies domiciled in emerging-market countries. The fund employs SEI’s integrated investment-management approach, combining proprietary quantitative active equity portfolios with model portfolios managed by one or more fundamental, high-conviction third-party sub-advisers. Its portfolio construction incorporates value, momentum, quality, and low-volatility factor exposures and is designed to provide diversified emerging-markets equity exposure and improve expected risk-adjusted returns and cost efficiency relative to the individual underlying approaches. The ETF is offered to financial advisers and other investors as a portfolio building-block solution within SEI’s Select ETF range, alongside U.S. small-cap and developed international equity strategies.
SEEM was launched on October 10, 2024, as one of three active equity ETFs introduced by SEI to extend its core-equity ETF offering across major asset classes and geographies. It is advised by SEI Investments Management Corporation and distributed by SEI Investments Distribution Co.; both entities are wholly owned subsidiaries of SEI Investments Company. SEI Investments Company, founded in 1968 and headquartered in Oaks, Pennsylvania, provides investment management, investment processing, operations, and technology solutions to corporations, financial institutions, investment professionals, and ultra-high-net-worth families, with service centers in the United States, United Kingdom, Ireland, Canada, continental Europe, India, and South Africa.
Recent developments include SEI’s continued expansion of its actively managed ETF platform. In July 2026, the company launched the SEI QiM U.S. Equity Factor Allocation Active ETF, expanding the platform to 10 ETFs and reinforcing its strategy of delivering quantitative, factor-based investment capabilities through transparent, tax-efficient exchange-traded structures. SEI has also indicated continued development of ETF products, model capabilities, private-market solutions, strategic partnerships, and technology- and AI-enabled client-service initiatives.
