Business
Shri Keshav Cements and Infra Limited (SKCIL.BO), founded in 1993 as Katwa Udyog Limited and headquartered in Belagavi, Karnataka, India, manufactures and markets cement alongside trading in coal and petroleum products; it generates and distributes solar energy primarily in northern Karnataka. The company produces Ordinary Portland Cement in grades 33, 43, and 53 for heavy industrial structures, irrigation projects, dams, roads, bridges, and multi-storey buildings; Portland Pozzolana Cement blended with refined coal fly ash for sulphate-resistant applications emphasizing durability and cost efficiency; and Portland Slag Cement blended with granulated blast furnace slag for marine structures, mass concreting, precast products, and hot-weather projects requiring crack resistance. Cement brands include Keshav Cement, Jyoti Gold, and Jyoti Power, supplied across North Karnataka, Coastal Karnataka, Goa, and southern Maharashtra using West German VSK technology with advanced laboratory testing and DCS systems; operations feature a 40 MW captive solar plant at Koppal for green energy self-sufficiency and technical consultancy for mix designs and ready-mix concrete. In November 2025, SKCIL completed a major expansion project, boosting total cement production capacity from 0.30 million tons per annum to 1 million tons per annum with commercial operations commencing on November 29 at its Lokapur facility, incorporating modern pre-calciner technology, fifth-generation coolers, vertical roller mills, alternative fuels like municipal waste and rice husk, and centralized control for enhanced efficiency. The company previously expanded its solar capacity to 37 MWp by December 2021 and targets sustained growth amid regional infrastructure demand.
