Business
Solstice Advanced Materials Inc. operates as a pure-play specialty materials company that develops and manufactures high-performance chemicals and advanced materials for critical applications including refrigerants, electronic and semiconductor materials, ballistic protection fibers, healthcare packaging, building solutions, and safety and defense products; key offerings encompass Solstice and Genetron refrigerants for HVAC/R and food preservation, Spectra Shield ballistic fibers and Spectra fibers for military and security applications in over 40 countries, Aclar healthcare packaging films, Fluka and Hydranal analytical reagents, sputtering targets and electronic materials for semiconductor manufacturing and data center thermal management, Jet Applied Brazing Flux for EV and renewable energy cooling plates, and industrial films for construction and automotive sectors. Headquartered in Morris Plains, New Jersey, with approximately 4,000 employees across 24 manufacturing sites and four R&D centers, the company serves more than 3,000 customers in over 120 countries and territories, drawing on a materials science heritage exceeding 130 years and a portfolio of over 5,700 patents. In October 2025, Solstice completed its spin-off from Honeywell International Inc., beginning regular-way trading on Nasdaq under the ticker SOLS, which enables independent capital allocation and accelerated growth in high-demand areas like AI-driven semiconductors and regulatory-compliant cooling solutions; the business generated $3.8 billion in net sales in 2024 with 4.4% compounded annual growth. Most recently in December 2025, Solstice broke ground on a $200 million expansion of its Spokane Valley, Washington, electronic materials facility to double sputtering target production capacity by 2029, cut lead times by 25%, introduce circular metal reclamation, and reduce CO2 emissions by over 300 metric tons annually, with $80 million allocated to local suppliers and over 80 new jobs created.
