- SPDR Portfolio Europe ETF (SPEU) is an exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investment results that, before fees and expenses, correspond generally to the total return performance of the STOXX Europe Total Market Index, a free-float market capitalization-weighted index designed to provide broad representation of publicly traded Western European companies across the market-cap spectrum; it employs a representative sampling strategy, investing substantially all, but at least 80%, of its total assets in the securities comprising the index or depositary receipts representing such securities; the fund holds approximately 1,805 securities spanning sectors including financials (22.83%), industrials (19.91%), health care (12.73%), consumer staples (8.99%), and information technology (7.39%), with top holdings such as ASML Holding NV (2.18%), SAP SE (2.16%), Nestle SA (1.78%), Novartis AG (1.64%), and Roche Holding AG (1.59%); country exposures include the United Kingdom (22.49%), France (15.92%), Germany (14.76%), and Switzerland (13.82%).
