Business
StraightUp Resources Inc. (CSE: ST; OTCQB: STUPF) is a mineral exploration company that acquires and explores battery metals, precious minerals, and gold properties in Canada. The company holds interests in the Opatica Lithium Project in Quebec's James Bay region, featuring multiple lithium pegmatite occurrences and beryllium showings; the RLX North and RLX South gold projects in Ontario's Red Lake Greenstone Belt, comprising over 10,000 hectares near Kinross Gold's assets; the Belanger gold-base metals project east of Red Lake; and the Ferdinand Gold Project in the Red Lake mining district. It also develops battery metal recycling technologies through its Battery X Recycling Technologies subsidiary, focusing on refining black mass from spent lithium-ion batteries using methods to reduce harsh chemicals and emissions. Founded prior to its public listing and headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, StraightUp operates primarily in Quebec and Ontario. In June 2023, the company completed the acquisition of the Opatica Lithium Project via an exclusive option for 100% interest subject to a 2% NSR royalty, along with Battery X for battery recycling innovation, issuing 32 million shares in tranches; it announced a name change to Battery X Metals Inc. and a share consolidation later reflected in ongoing operations.
