- Swiggy Limited (SWIGGY.NS) is an Indian hyperlocal commerce platform that operates a unified app providing on-demand delivery and convenience services, including food delivery from restaurants; quick commerce grocery and household essentials via Instamart in over 100 cities; dining reservations and table bookings through Dineout; events and ticketing via Scenes and SteppinOut; product pick-up and drop-off historically through Genie (shut down in May 2025); and hyperlocal commerce including lifestyle services via platforms such as Swiggy Minis, Snacc, Pyng, and the recently launched Crew app for travel and concierge assistance. Founded in 2014 and headquartered in Bengaluru, India, the company serves more than 700 cities across the country, primarily targeting urban consumers with its technology-driven logistics network supported by subsidiaries including Scootsy Logistics Private Limited, Supr Infotech Solutions Private Limited (rebranded elements as InsanelyGood), Lynks Logistics Limited, and a newly created Swiggy Instamart Private Limited for its quick commerce arm. Swiggy competes in the food delivery market against Zomato and in quick commerce against Blinkit and Zepto, generating revenue through restaurant commissions, delivery fees, advertising, and platform innovations. In November 2024, Swiggy completed its initial public offering on the National Stock Exchange and Bombay Stock Exchange, marking one of India's largest IPOs at a valuation of $11.3 billion with shares priced at INR 390. The company recently approved plans in November 2025 to raise up to INR 10,000 crore ($1.1 billion) through a qualified institutional placement managed by Citigroup, JPMorgan, and Kotak Mahindra Capital, subject to approvals; issued substantial ESOP grants under its 2024 scheme including INR 150 crore in July 2025 and $271 million to founder Sriharsha Majety and management in October 2025; launched new apps like Crew for lifestyle services; and reorganized Instamart into a dedicated subsidiary while exiting Genie operations.
