Business
DWS S&P 500 Index Fund (Class C) (ticker: SXPCX) is a large blend mutual fund managed by DWS that seeks to replicate the performance of the S&P 500 Index by investing, under normal circumstances, at least 80% of its assets in stocks of companies included in the index and in derivative instruments, such as futures contracts and options, that provide exposure to those stocks; the portfolio's securities are weighted to match the total investment characteristics of the index as a whole. The fund offers quarterly dividend distributions with a trailing twelve-month yield of approximately 4.23%, low portfolio turnover of 2%, and exposure to approximately 507 holdings, including top positions in Microsoft Corp. (6.76%), NVIDIA Corp. (6.54%), and Apple Inc. (5.96%). Launched on February 15, 2005, as part of the DWS fund family, it operates from headquarters at 875 Third Avenue, New York, NY 10022, serving retail and institutional investors primarily in the United States through the NASDAQ exchange with a minimum investment of $1,000 and an expense ratio of 1.26%. DWS Group, the fund's parent asset manager founded in 1956 and headquartered in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, provides additional share classes such as Class S (SCPIX) within this S&P 500 index strategy, alongside a broad range of active, passive, and alternative investment solutions across global markets including offices in London, Hong Kong, and other regions. In recent developments, DWS Group extended its nearly 25-year strategic distribution partnership with Deutsche Vermögensberatung (DVAG) for another decade in June 2025 to enhance actively managed product access in Germany and Austria; entered a March 2025 strategic cooperation with Deutsche Bank to bolster its €110 billion alternatives platform through fixed income market access and liquidity; completed real estate transactions including solar PV plant acquisitions in Spain during Q2 2025; announced executive board changes with Vincenzo Vedda joining as Chief Investment Officer in July 2025; and launched the Xtrackers S&P 500 Diversified Sector Weight ETF (SPXD) in 2025 to expand its rules-based ETF offerings.
