Business
TAAT Global Alternatives Inc. develops, manufactures and distributes tobacco-free, nicotine-free smokable products and other alternative consumer packaged goods including hemp, kratom and emerging CPG categories primarily in the United States and Canada; its flagship TAAT brand features Original, Smooth and Menthol variants utilizing a proprietary patent-pending Beyond Tobacco blend that replicates the sensory experience of traditional cigarettes without tobacco or nicotine; additional offerings encompass non-tobacco smokables, flavorings, hemp-based products, edibles under the Jayvees brand via subsidiary Jayvee’s Brands LLC, and distribution of tobacco products, sundry items, candy and groceries through subsidiary ADCO in Ohio. The company, founded in 2006 and headquartered in Las Vegas, Nevada with a registered office in Vancouver, British Columbia, operates from an Ohio distribution center and Nevada operations facility while serving gas stations, convenience stores and wholesalers with over CAD $66 million in nine-month sales through July 2024 mainly from tobacco and non-tobacco segments. In January 2025, TAAT signed a non-binding letter of intent followed by a definitive agreement to acquire Premium Products LLC for CAD $1.85 million in shares, expanding into Delta-9 edibles like chocolates and gummies, disposable vapes, non-tobacco nicotine alternatives and wellness beverages to accelerate CPG diversification; the deal, expected to close early February 2025 pending approvals, builds on the 2022 ADCO acquisition and 2023 launches of Beyond Alternative LLC and Jayvees while addressing prior challenges including a May 2024 cease-trade order revoked in June, October 2023 share consolidation, lease terminations for cost savings and a February 2024 Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing by TAAT International.
