Tele2 expanded its 5G network to cover 99.9% of Sweden's population and 90% of its landmass, while advancing gigabit fixed broadband upgrades; in November 2025, it partnered with Telenor Sweden through Net4Mobility to secure additional 2x25 MHz spectrum in the 1800 MHz band for enhanced 4G/5G capacity, coverage, and resilience. The company also formed a strategic partnership with Global Communication Infrastructure (GCI), a Manulife subsidiary, to create a pan-Baltic tower company, supporting infrastructure growth in the region, alongside CEO transition from Kjell Johnsen to Jean Marc Harion in November 2024.
