- Titagarh Rail Systems Limited manufactures railway rolling stock and components, with core operations spanning freight rail systems including wagons such as container flats, grain hoppers, cement wagons, clinker wagons and tank wagons; passenger rail systems encompassing electric locomotives, EMU and DEMU trainsets, metros, light rail transports, passenger coaches, semi high-speed trains and propulsion equipment like traction motors and vehicle control systems; and components such as bogies, couplers, loco shells, forged wheel sets, draft gears and cast manganese steel crossings. The company, founded in 1997 and headquartered in Kolkata, India, maintains manufacturing facilities in India and Italy through its associate Titagarh Firema SpA, serves the Indian Railways and metro projects including Bengaluru, Pune, Surat and Ahmedabad, and extends into shipbuilding for coastal research vessels, naval vessels, tugs and inland vessels as well as defence products like Bailey bridges.
