Business
T-Mobile USA, Inc., a subsidiary of T-Mobile US, Inc., provides wireless communications services in the United States, offering postpaid and prepaid mobile plans, 5G and LTE voice and data services, fixed wireless and fiber broadband, device financing and related equipment, business and enterprise connectivity solutions, and digital customer-service capabilities through its T-Life platform; it markets services under the T-Mobile, Metro by T-Mobile and Mint Mobile brands and serves consumer, business, enterprise and government customers. The company is headquartered in Bellevue, Washington, and was founded in 1994 as VoiceStream Wireless, later becoming part of the T-Mobile group; its operations are centered on the Un-carrier strategy, which emphasizes network-led service differentiation, value pricing and customer experience, supported by a nationwide 5G and broadband footprint. In recent periods, T-Mobile has expanded through several major strategic transactions and initiatives, including the completed acquisition of the UScellular wireless business on August 1, 2025; the joint acquisition of Lumos in April 2025; the establishment of a fiber joint venture with Wren House to acquire i3 Broadband in April 2026; and the sale of 800 MHz spectrum licenses in exchange for Grain Management’s 600 MHz licenses. The company has also broadened its product and service mix with growing 5G broadband and T-Fiber offerings, a recently launched T-Mobile Visa financial services product, and an expanded digital and AI-led customer journey that allows upgrades, add-a-lines and new activations through the T-Life app. T-Mobile has undergone notable leadership and operating changes, including the appointment of Srinivasan Gopalan as President and Chief Executive Officer effective November 1, 2025; the appointment of Jonathan A. Freier as Chief Operating Officer effective December 5, 2025; the appointment of Jessica Uhl as CFO designate in September 2026 with expected succession to chief financial officer in February 2027; the creation of a Chief Enterprise Officer role for Chris Sambar effective no later than October 14, 2026; and the implementation of network restructuring, workforce transformation and retail simplification initiatives in 2025 and 2026.
