- E-Chem Enterprise Corp. is a Taiwan-based developer, manufacturer, and distributor of specialty electronic chemicals and advanced functional materials serving semiconductor manufacturing, advanced packaging, printed circuit board (PCB), flat panel display, and energy storage sectors. Founded in 1989 and headquartered in Taoyuan City, Taiwan, the company supplies high-purity process solutions and customized chemical formulations to wafer foundries, integrated device manufacturers, outsourced semiconductor assembly and test (OSAT) providers, and electronic component producers across Taiwan and international markets.
The company's core product and service portfolio includes proprietary and distributed electronic process materials, marketed partly under its PureSAB brand: surface treatment and wet etching chemicals, including specialized gold, titanium, nickel, silver, and titanium-tungsten etchants as well as under-bump metallization (UBM) seed layer etching solutions; advanced packaging and wafer processing materials, such as temporary bonding materials (TBM) for thin-wafer processing and debonding alongside ultra-clean post-etch and polymer residue cleaning agents; photolithography process chemicals, comprising high-purity photoresist strippers, removers for high-end IC substrates, and edge bead removal solvents; electronic-grade high-purity acids, alkalis, and organic solvents; thin-film deposition precursors; specialty electrode and conductive slurries for energy storage and circuit applications; and value-added technical services, including customized formulation research and development, analytical laboratory testing, purity blending, and contract manufacturing.
In recent developments, E-Chem Enterprise Corp. registered its shares on the Emerging Stock Board of the Taipei Exchange in September 2025 under ticker 7858. The company is actively executing a strategic transformation from a traditional chemical trading and distribution model to a proprietary research, development, and high-margin manufacturing model, aiming to increase the revenue share of its in-house manufactured PureSAB formulations to approximately 70 percent. In support of this strategic pivot and the growing demand for localized semiconductor supply chains and AI packaging materials, the company expanded its manufacturing infrastructure through an investment of approximately NT$210 million in a new production facility in Bade District, Taoyuan City, focused on scaling production of proprietary temporary bonding materials, advanced packaging cleaners, and etching additives. Additionally, E-Chem Enterprise Corp. is broadening its international footprint by conducting active product sample verifications and commercial qualification initiatives with semiconductor and memory packaging manufacturers across South Korea, Singapore, and Malaysia.
