Business
Transrail Lighting Limited is an integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) company specializing in power transmission and distribution (T&D) projects. The company’s core products and services include the design, manufacturing, testing, installation, and supply of engineered galvanized steel monopoles and lattice structures for transmission and distribution; street lighting poles, high masts, stadium masts, traffic poles, surveillance and CCTV poles, telecommunication monopoles, and derrick/flare structures. It also provides turnkey EPC solutions in solar energy including solar farms, battery energy storage systems (BESS), pooling substations, and grid connectivity, as well as railway infrastructure projects such as overhead electrification, signaling and telecom systems, earthworks, and track laying. Additionally, Transrail engages in complex civil infrastructure projects including bridges, tunnels, elevated roads, and cooling towers. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Mumbai, India, Transrail operates across 58 countries spanning Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and Europe, with a diversified order book that includes transmission lines, substations up to 765 kV, and distribution networks. The company manufactures lattice structures, monopoles, and conductors at state-of-the-art facilities with an annual pole manufacturing capacity of 40,000 metric tons and large galvanizing baths. In recent developments, Transrail has expanded its geographic footprint with new major order wins in the MENA region and Africa, including a significant transmission line EPC contract in a new African country, increasing its FY26 order inflows beyond ₹4,285 crore. The company acquired CEDEC to strengthen its civil EPC business and has initiated plans to expand into bridge and hydro infrastructure segments. Transrail is also nearing completion of a brownfield expansion of its tower manufacturing units. It continues to execute transmission and railway projects while growing its Poles & Lighting business and has focused on diversifying its international order book and improving its operational execution in FY25-26. Transrail Lighting Limited maintains a strong EPC presence in power transmission and distribution; solar EPC; railway infrastructure; civil construction; and manufacture of poles and lighting structures, backed by its recent strategic acquisitions, international expansion, and increasing order inflows across core segments and regions.
