Business
Innovator Triple Stacker ETF – October (TSOC) is an actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks to provide investors with tripled upside exposure to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (SPY), Invesco QQQ Trust Series 1 (QQQ), and iShares Russell 2000 ETF (IWM), each at 100% participation to a predetermined cap, while limiting downside exposure to SPY only over a one-year outcome period. The fund invests substantially all of its assets in a portfolio of FLEX Options referencing these underlying ETFs; it belongs to the leveraged equity total market segment and forms part of Innovator ETFs' Defined Outcome ETF suite, targeting advisors and investors seeking magnified equity performance potential with defined risk parameters. TSOC operates within the investment management industry, serving institutional and retail investors focused on U.S. equity markets without specified geographic diversification beyond domestic benchmarks. Launched in October 2020 by Innovator Capital Management, LLC, headquartered in Wheaton, Illinois and founded in 2017, the ETF underwent a significant operational change with its liquidation on October 6, 2023, as part of the closure of the October-dated Stacker funds. In a major recent development, Innovator Capital Management entered into an agreement in late November 2025 to be acquired by Goldman Sachs for approximately $2 billion, a transaction expected to close in the second quarter of 2026 and expand Goldman Sachs' ETF offerings in the defined outcome category; as of September 30, 2025, Innovator managed $28 billion in assets under management across 159 defined outcome ETFs. No additional recent partnerships, funding rounds, new product launches, or strategic expansions specific to TSOC were identified post-liquidation.
