Tertiary Minerals plc (TYM.L) is an AIM-quoted mineral exploration and development company focused on energy transition metals including copper, silver, zinc and gold; the company identifies, acquires, explores and develops deposits primarily in Nevada, USA and Zambia with a legacy fluorspar project in Sweden. Founded in 1999 and headquartered in Macclesfield, United Kingdom, it operates through subsidiaries including 100%-owned Tertiary Minerals (US) Inc. in Nevada, 96%-owned Tertiary Minerals (Zambia) Limited and 90%-owned Copernicus Minerals Limited in Zambia. Core exploration projects comprise Zambia's Mukai Copper Project targeting Lower Roan copper hosted adjacent to First Quantum Minerals' Sentinel Copper Mine; Mushima North Copper Project with recent high-grade copper-zinc-silver intercepts at Target A1 in IOCG-style terrane; Jacks Copper Project with pitting defining drill targets; Mupala Copper Project delineating copper-in-soil anomalies; Konkola West Copper Project seeking down-dip extensions of high-grade ore shale; Nevada's Brunton Pass Copper-Gold Project; Paymaster and Mt Tobin base and precious metals prospects; Lucky Copper prospect; and Sweden's Storuman Fluorspar Project under government appeal. In 2024, the company raised £1.4 million through three share placings to fund drilling programmes and established Copernicus Minerals Limited consolidating 90% interests in Jacks, Mukai and Mushima North with local partner Mwashia Resources Limited; signed an earn-in joint venture with KoBold Metals on Konkola West committing initial 2,000 metres of deep drilling currently underway; entered a binding agreement with First Quantum Minerals on Mukai allowing up to 80% earn-in via US$1.5 million minimum spend including scout drilling and staged payments up to US$2 million; completed Phase 1 air-core/reverse circulation drilling at Mushima North intersecting thick mineralised zones with up to 1% copper plus silver and zinc; executed drilling at Brunton Pass; and secured exploration licence renewals through November 2027.
