Business
Themes Uranium & Nuclear ETF is an exchange-traded fund managed by Themes ETFs that seeks to track the BITA Global Uranium and Nuclear Select Index and provide exposure to companies deriving revenues from uranium mining, exploration, refining, processing and royalties, as well as nuclear energy, equipment, technology and infrastructure. The fund is based in the United States, was launched in September 2024, and is headquartered with Themes ETFs; it invests globally across energy, utilities, industrials and related sectors, with holdings spanning the U.S., Canada, Australia, China, the U.K. and other markets. Its core portfolio includes common stocks and other equity securities of uranium miners, nuclear fuel-cycle businesses, reactor and power-generation companies, and nuclear-industry suppliers and service providers, with representative holdings including Constellation Energy, Duke Energy, American Electric Power, Public Service Enterprise Group, NexGen Energy, Cameco, Denison Mines, Yellow Cake, Oklo and NuScale Power. The fund’s positioning emphasizes broad thematic exposure to the nuclear value chain rather than a single geography or subindustry, and its published holdings show a material allocation to energy and utilities. In the latest reporting period, URAN continued to evolve its portfolio, with updated holdings and sector weights reflecting increased exposure to utility and nuclear-power names such as Constellation Energy, Duke Energy, American Electric Power and Public Service Enterprise Group, alongside uranium producers and developers including NexGen Energy, Cameco, Denison Mines, Yellow Cake and Bannerman Energy. Recent publicly available fund materials also show changes in the top holdings mix through 2026, indicating ongoing rebalancing and index-driven portfolio updates rather than a change in strategy, while the fund’s thematic mandate remains centered on the global uranium and nuclear energy ecosystem.
