- First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VIII – FT Vest U.S. Equity Uncapped Accelerator ETF – January is a U.S.-listed, non-diversified actively managed exchange-traded fund that seeks investment results corresponding, before fees and expenses, to approximately 200% of the price return of the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, up to a stated cap, over an approximately one-year outcome period beginning in January. The fund principally invests substantially all of its assets in FLEX Options referencing the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, employing a portfolio structure that generally combines a deep in-the-money long call option and a call spread to provide amplified exposure to U.S. large-cap equities while defining the applicable outcome period and upside parameters. Its primary product is ETF shares trading under the ticker UXJA, providing U.S. investors, financial advisers and institutions with a defined-outcome equity strategy designed to deliver uncapped accelerated participation in positive reference-asset performance, subject to the fund’s terms, option costs, expenses, tracking differences and investment risks. UXJA is a series of First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VIII and is advised by First Trust Advisors L.P.; First Trust’s principal offices are located in Wheaton, Illinois. The fund commenced operations in January 2025. Recent developments include the January 2026 filing of an updated summary prospectus and its continuing inclusion in First Trust Exchange-Traded Fund VIII’s expanding FT Vest defined-outcome ETF platform, which includes additional U.S. Equity Uncapped Accelerator ETFs with different outcome-period start months, including April, July and October offerings.
