Recent developments include the strategic acquisition of Albion Drilling Holdings Limited in October 2024, enhancing specialist piling, drilling and geotechnical services in Scotland with a high-quality rig fleet and workforce of 31 employees integrated into the Specialist Piling division, and a July 2025 strategic partnership with VolkerWessels UK involving the takeover of VolkerGround Engineering's concrete piling assets to expand capabilities in water, energy, defence and rail infrastructure frameworks. These moves support ongoing investments exceeding 10% of annual expenditure in plant, equipment and innovative solutions, alongside a sharpened focus on design-led, high-margin services positioning the group for scalable growth.
