The company provides the Viaplay streaming service featuring live sports, series, films, and documentaries; advertising-supported free-TV channels such as TV3, TV6, TV8, and TV10 across Scandinavia and Viaplay TV in the Netherlands; pay-TV channels including V Sport (with premium tiers like V Sport Premium, V Sport Football, V Sport Motor, and V Sport Golf), V Series, and V Film (encompassing sub-channels like V Film Premiere, Action, Hits, and Family); radio stations in Sweden (Rix FM, Star FM, Bandit Rock, Lugna Favoriter, Power Hit Radio) and Norway via P4 Group (P4 Lyden av Norge, P5 Hits, P6 Rock); audio streaming services; and content production through Viaplay Studios. Founded in 1987 and headquartered in Stockholm, Sweden, the company, formerly Nordic Entertainment Group AB, changed its name to Viaplay Group AB (publ) in May 2022 and maintains a 50% stake in Allente, the merged pay-TV platform of Viasat and Canal Digital. In November 2025, Viaplay Group completes the acquisition of Telenor's remaining 50% stake in Allente Group for full ownership, financed by cash and a SEK 1,726 million term loan while reducing overall long-term debt to approximately SEK 6,100 million, SEK 2,500 million working capital facility, and a trimmed revolving credit facility; this strategic move strengthens its Nordic core by integrating Allente's DTH and broadband TV platforms for expanded customer reach and operational stability.
