- Vanguard Wellington U.S. Value Active ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund sponsored by The Vanguard Group, Inc. and advised by Wellington Management Company LLP. The fund seeks long-term capital appreciation by investing principally in large- and mid-capitalization U.S. companies that Wellington Management considers undervalued relative to their fundamentals, with at least 80% of net assets, plus borrowings for investment purposes, normally invested in U.S. value securities. Its investment offering comprises a diversified portfolio of publicly traded common stocks across sectors including financial services, information technology, health care, industrials, energy, consumer, communication services, materials, real estate and utilities; the fund typically holds approximately 60 to 100 securities and uses the Russell 1000 Value Index as its performance benchmark.
