Business
West African Resources Limited focuses on the mining, exploration, and development of gold assets throughout West Africa. The company successfully operates the Sanbrado Gold Operations in Burkina Faso, which commenced production in March 2020 and yielded over 200,000 ounces in 2024. Furthermore, West African Resources holds a substantial interest in the Kiaka Gold Project, also in Burkina Faso, which achieved its initial gold pour in June 2025 and is anticipated to be a long-term, cost-efficient producing mine. The company additionally possesses exploration licenses for the Toega Gold Deposit, slated to provide satellite ore feed to the Sanbrado processing facility from the latter half of 2025. West African Resources is progressing towards becoming a prominent gold producer, aiming for annual output exceeding 400,000 ounces from its dual production hubs. As of late 2025, the company's securities are under suspension from trading while it engages in negotiations with the Government of Burkina Faso concerning an augmented ownership stake in its Kiaka operating subsidiary. Incorporated in 2006, the firm is based in Subiaco, Australia.
