The Warehouse Group Limited (WHS.NZ) operates as New Zealand's largest general merchandise retailer, offering a broad range of consumer products through its core brands The Warehouse, Warehouse Stationery, and Noel Leeming; The Warehouse provides everyday low-priced essentials including apparel, grocery, homewares, sports equipment, gardening supplies, furniture, and seasonal goods across discount department stores known as Red Sheds; Warehouse Stationery supplies office and school products, art and craft items, technology accessories, office furniture, ink and toner, print and copy services, and personalization options; and Noel Leeming specializes in branded consumer electronics, appliances, and comprehensive after-sales support including Tech Solutions. Founded in 1982 by Sir Stephen Tindall and headquartered at 26 The Warehouse Way in Auckland, the company conducts multichannel retail operations with over 240 physical locations, two distribution centers in Wiri and Rolleston, 13 online stores, and overseas sourcing offices, primarily serving New Zealand customers in discount department stores, consumer electronics, stationery, and general merchandise segments while competing with Kmart, Farmers, Harvey Norman, and supermarkets like Woolworths.
