ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited, a subsidiary of ZF Friedrichshafen AG and part of the ZF Group Commercial Vehicle Solutions Division, manufactures and markets advanced braking systems, conventional braking products, and air-assisted technologies for commercial vehicles including trucks, buses, off-highway vehicles, defense applications, cars, and fleets; it offers e-mobility solutions such as e-compressors, Electronic Braking Systems (EBS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), and Electronically Controlled Air Suspension (ECAS); additional products include air compressors, air processing units, air disc brakes, air suspension systems, doors with door control systems, driveline controls, automated manual transmissions (AMT), fleet management solutions (FMS), valves, actuators, vacuum pumps, and push-type connectors; the company also provides spare parts, aftermarket services, digital services, retrofit solutions, workshop solutions, software development, professional training, and consulting. Headquartered in Chennai, India, and founded in 2004 as WABCO India Limited, it changed its name to ZF Commercial Vehicle Control Systems India Limited in March 2022 following integration into ZF Group's structure after the 2020 acquisition of WABCO; it operates five manufacturing facilities, an advanced technology development center, a vehicle testing facility, and a nationwide aftermarket network primarily serving automotive OEMs, distributors, government agencies, and retailers in India with exports to international markets.
