Eastern & Oriental Berhad is a Malaysia-based investment holding company focused on property development, hospitality operations, and investment activities. The company develops, invests in, manages, and sells residential and commercial properties including luxury condominiums, serviced apartments, resorts, retail buildings, and waterparks; operates hotels, serviced apartments, restaurants, cafes, and food and beverage outlets; provides management services, land reclamation, project management, sales consultancy, and marketing for property projects; through segments of Properties, Hospitality, Investments and others. It operates primarily in Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Iskandar Malaysia in Johor, and central London in the United Kingdom, with subsidiaries in Malaysia, the Channel Islands, British Virgin Islands, UK, and Singapore, targeting upscale residential, commercial, and hospitality markets. Founded in 1885 and headquartered in Kuala Lumpur at Menara Vista Petaling, the company maintains strategic growth engines across these regions, with notable projects such as Arica, Andaman, The Meg, Martinique, Abrezza, Skye, Cayman, Caspian, Avalon, Acacia, Ariza, Amaris, Andorra, Quayside Seafront Resort Condominiums, Suites at Straits Quay, The Tamarind, Conlay, Dua Residency, Princes House, ESCA House, Lincoln Suites, and a Hammersmith commercial property. Recent developments include the July 2025 official launch of Conlay Signature Suites, the final phase of the Conlay by E&O project in partnership with Japan's Mitsui Fudosan Group, offering 194 fully furnished luxury units on the uppermost floors of a 51-storey tower in Kuala Lumpur with 40% take-up since soft launch; plans for over RM2.2 billion in new project launches in the remainder of 2025 including a sea-facing residential apartment on Andaman Island and the Elmina project with RM990 million GDV; and a formal proposal submitted in 2025 to develop the RM10 billion Penang International Financial Centre on Andaman Island, competing with sites like Gurney Bay and Batu Kawan.
