ETF Series Solutions – Aptus Laddered Buffer ETF is an actively managed, U.S.-domiciled exchange-traded fund that provides investors with buffered exposure to the U.S. large-cap equity market. The fund, traded under the ticker ABUF on Cboe, invests principally in an approximately equal-weighted portfolio of four Aptus quarterly buffer ETFs—Aptus January Buffer ETF (JANB), Aptus April Buffer ETF (APRB), Aptus July Buffer ETF (JULB) and Aptus October Buffer ETF (OCTB); each underlying fund uses FLEX options linked to the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust to seek participation in S&P 500-related market appreciation up to a stated cap while providing a 15% downside buffer over its respective approximately 12-month outcome period. ABUF’s laddered structure spreads exposure across quarterly reset dates to reduce entry-point and outcome-period timing risk associated with single-vintage defined-outcome ETFs, offering a single-ticker allocation designed for financial advisers and other investors seeking equity-market participation, reduced volatility and tax-efficient ETF implementation. The fund is managed by Aptus Capital Advisors LLC, a Fairhope, Alabama-based investment adviser, and is offered through ETF Series Solutions, a Delaware statutory trust headquartered in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. ABUF was established on March 31, 2026. In April 2026, Aptus Capital Advisors launched ABUF as an expansion of its buffered ETF lineup, positioning the fund as a lower-cost laddered-buffer solution with a 0.30% total expense ratio and eliminating the need for investors to independently rebalance quarterly buffer-fund vintages. In 2026, Aptus also continued expanding its defined-outcome product suite through quarterly buffered ETF offerings, reinforcing its strategic focus on options-based risk-managed equity allocations.
