Business
Air Canada provides scheduled passenger and cargo air transportation services as Canada's largest full-service airline and flag carrier. The company operates a fleet of 214 mainline aircraft including Airbus A220-300, A320 family, A321, A321XLR, A330-300, Boeing 737 MAX 8, 777 and 787 Dreamliner widebodies; offers Signature Class business, Premium Economy and Economy cabins on long-haul routes and Business and Economy on short-haul flights; and provides additional services through subsidiaries and brands such as Air Canada Cargo with six Boeing 767 freighters and hubs in Montréal, Toronto, Vancouver, Chicago, London and Frankfurt; Air Canada Rouge leisure airline with 40 Airbus A320-family jets; Air Canada Express regional service via partners Jazz Aviation and PAL Airlines operating 46 turboprops and 60 regional jets; Air Canada Jetz private charters with four all-business A320s; and Air Canada Vacations tour packages to over 90 destinations. Air Canada serves over 222 destinations on six continents linked to its principal hubs at Toronto Pearson, Montréal-Trudeau and Vancouver International airports, with extensive domestic coverage to 64 Canadian points, transborder flights to more than 50 U.S. cities and international routes to Asia, Europe, Latin America, the Caribbean and beyond as a founding Star Alliance member. Founded in 1937 as Trans-Canada Air Lines and renamed in 1965, Air Canada maintains corporate headquarters at Air Canada Centre on the grounds of Montréal-Trudeau Airport in Saint-Laurent, Quebec, with operations centred in Brampton, Ontario. In recent developments, Air Canada extends its strategic partnership with Emirates through 2032 encompassing expanded codeshare, loyalty and cargo connectivity across 56 routes linking Canada, the U.S., Dubai and global points; introduces fast free Wi-Fi for Aeroplan members on North American and select Sun destination flights sponsored by Bell with international rollout in 2026; orders 30 Airbus A321XLRs for delivery from early 2026, 28 additional A220-300s and 18 Boeing 787-10s; plans fleet transitions including Boeing 737 MAX 8s to Air Canada Rouge by 2028 and Rouge A320/A321s to mainline with A220-standard retrofits featuring enhanced entertainment, Wi-Fi and cabins; achieves 100% electric ground support equipment at Québec City station by end-2025; procures 20.5 million U.S. gallons of Neste sustainable aviation fuel for 2025 use; wins Best Airline in North America at 2025 Skytrax Awards; and participates in the Cadence consortium for Canada's Alto high-speed rail project between Windsor and Québec City.
