Adbri Limited (ABCF) manufactures and supplies construction materials and industrial minerals throughout Australia. The company produces cement, lime including quicklime, premium quicklime, hydrated lime and premium hydrated lime, premixed concrete, aggregates, concrete masonry products such as bricks, besser blocks, pavers and retaining walls, paving and landscaping products; and industrial minerals, with operations spanning more than 200 plants and facilities across all mainland states including joint ventures in South Australia, New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria, Western Australia and the Northern Territory. Founded in 1882 and headquartered in Adelaide, South Australia, Adbri operates through brands including Adelaide Brighton Cement, Cockburn Cement, Sunstate Cement, Northern Cement, Independent Cement & Lime and Adbri Masonry, serving building, construction, infrastructure, mining, alumina, agricultural and mineral processing markets. In 2024, CRH plc completed its acquisition of a majority stake in Adbri for an equity value of A$2.1 billion through a scheme of arrangement, partnering with the Barro Group to hold full ownership following delisting from the Australian Securities Exchange; the transaction received Foreign Investment Review Board approval and court sanction, integrating Adbri into CRH's global building materials portfolio while enhancing its Australian cement, concrete and aggregates capabilities.
