- NMDC Energy P.J.S.C. is an integrated engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions provider delivering turnkey offshore and onshore infrastructure projects to the global oil, gas, refining, petrochemical, and renewable energy industries. The company operates through two principal business divisions: Offshore EPC and Onshore EPC. Its comprehensive portfolio of products and services comprises detailed engineering solutions, including conceptual studies, front-end engineering design (FEED), 3D modeling, and multidisciplinary design across structural, process, piping, electrical, and instrumentation systems; global procurement and supply chain management services, including material sourcing, vendor pre-qualification, expediting, inspection, and logistics; offshore fabrication and assembly of wellhead platforms, offshore production jackets, complex topside modules, living quarters, flare structures, subsea manifolds, and subsea templates; marine installation, heavy lifting, pipelaying, submarine power cable installation, umbilical laying, pre-commissioning, and hook-up works; onshore energy infrastructure construction, including natural gas processing plants, liquefied natural gas (LNG) liquefaction and regasification terminals, crude oil stabilization units, refinery units, chemical processing facilities, high-pressure pipeline networks, and bulk storage tank farms; and sustainable energy infrastructure, including offshore wind turbine foundations, offshore substation platforms, green hydrogen facilities, and carbon capture and storage (CCS) systems. The company supports its operations through massive fabrication yards covering over two million square meters across the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia, supported by engineering design centers in Abu Dhabi, Mumbai, and Hyderabad, as well as a dedicated fleet of specialized pipelay barges, heavy-lift derrick vessels, cable lay vessels, and offshore support tugs. Founded in 1973 as the National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) and headquartered in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, NMDC Energy operates as a subsidiary of NMDC Group P.J.S.C., serving national oil companies, multinational energy corporations, and utility operators across the Middle East, North Africa, the Indian Subcontinent, and East Asia, with established operations and project offices in the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, India, Taiwan, and China. In recent corporate developments, the company executed a comprehensive corporate rebranding from NPCC to NMDC Energy P.J.S.C. to unify its brand architecture with NMDC Group and reflect its strategic pivot toward broader energy transition markets. In September 2024, NMDC Energy completed its initial public offering on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange under the ticker NMDCENR, floating a 23 percent stake that attracted record investor demand across regional and international capital markets. Operationally, the company expanded its manufacturing footprint by launching an advanced 400,000-square-meter fabrication facility in Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia, secured a multi-year extension on its Long-Term Agreement with Saudi Aramco for offshore brownfield and greenfield developments, and won a 5.5 billion dollar contract as part of a joint venture for ADNOC’s low-carbon Ruwais LNG project. In addition, NMDC Energy broadened its geographical and technological scope by securing major subsea pipeline contracts with Taiwan Power Company, entering a maritime collaboration agreement with ADNOC Logistics & Services, and establishing strategic partnerships with Baker Hughes, Hyundai Heavy Industries, and Engineers India Limited to advance decarbonization, gas monetization, and modularized fabrication technologies.
