Alphaform AG (AFRMF) is a Germany-based company that provides generative 3D layering technologies and manufactures medical products; it operates through segments including AM Plastics/Modelling, AM Metal/Rapid Tooling, and Precision Casting. The company offers consulting on product development processes; manufacturing of virtual and real prototypes as well as small series production; prototype parts and models from resin and plastic powder; plastic and metal components for the automotive sector; and medical implants such as hip joint implants, cranial trauma plates, knee implants, and ligament fixation clips. Alphaform AG serves industries including automotive, machinery, plant and commercial vehicle construction, aerospace, aviation, tool making, medical technology, household appliances, telecommunications, electro-technical firms, universities, and research institutions; it conducts operations in Germany, rest of Europe, Turkey, and the United States. Founded in 1995, the company is headquartered in Feldkirchen, Germany. In 2015, following a bankruptcy application, Proto Labs acquired select assets and operations of Alphaform AG, including divisions in Germany, Finland, and the United Kingdom, adding capabilities in selective laser sintering, direct metal laser sintering, stereolithography, and injection molding services; no major recent partnerships, funding rounds, acquisitions, or product launches have been reported in the last 1-2 years.
