- Sunoco LP is an energy infrastructure and fuel distribution master limited partnership that engages in the wholesale distribution of motor fuels, the transportation and terminaling of crude oil and refined petroleum products, and petroleum refining operations across North America, the Greater Caribbean, and Europe. Tracing its corporate heritage to 1886, the partnership is headquartered in Dallas, Texas, and operates under the management of its general partner, a subsidiary of Energy Transfer LP. The partnership structures its commercial activities into four reportable business segments: Fuel Distribution, Pipeline Systems, Terminals, and Refinery. Sunoco LP provides a comprehensive portfolio of energy products, midstream logistics, and retail support services, including: the wholesale supply and distribution of conventional and premium motor gasoline, ultra-low sulfur diesel, renewable diesel, biodiesel, aviation jet fuel, liquefied petroleum gas, and marine bunkering fuels; high-performance specialty racing fuels distributed under the Sunoco Race Fuels brand; pipeline transportation services for refined petroleum products, crude oil, and anhydrous ammonia; bulk liquid storage, throughput, blending, and transmix processing across an integrated network of coastal and inland terminals; retail service station property leasing and management; convenience store operations and retail merchandising; and commercial fleet fueling programs, dealer branding solutions, and credit card processing services. The partnership distributes fuel across a commercial footprint serving approximately 11,000 retail locations under the Sunoco, APlus, and third-party partner brands, as well as independent dealers, commercial end-users, and industrial accounts. In recent strategic developments, Sunoco LP substantially transformed its asset portfolio through the acquisition of NuStar Energy L.P. in May 2024 for approximately $7.3 billion, integrating roughly 9,500 miles of pipeline and more than 60 liquid terminals. The partnership further broadened its geographic reach and downstream capabilities through the late-2025 acquisition of Parkland Corporation for approximately $9.1 billion, adding extensive international retail distribution assets and the Burnaby Refinery in British Columbia. In addition, the partnership expanded its European logistics footprint through the acquisition of liquid fuels terminal assets in Amsterdam, Netherlands, and Bantry Bay, Ireland, from Zenith Energy.
