Apollo Hospitals Enterprise Limited operates as India's largest integrated private healthcare provider, delivering comprehensive hospital services, diagnostics, pharmacies, and digital health solutions through a network of over 70 hospitals with more than 10,000 beds across India and select international locations. Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, the company offers tertiary care in over 50 specialties including cardiac sciences, oncology, neurosciences, orthopaedics, gastroenterology, and transplants; advanced diagnostics via Apollo Diagnostics with extensive imaging and pathology labs; retail pharmacy services through Apollo Pharmacy's 6,000-plus outlets; primary and secondary care under Apollo Health and Lifestyle encompassing Apollo Clinics, Apollo Sugar diabetes centers, Apollo White dental hospitals, Apollo Dialysis centers, Apollo Spectra surgical hospitals, Apollo Cradle women's and children's hospitals, and Apollo Fertility clinics; digital health platforms like Apollo 24/7 for telemedicine, online consultations, medicine delivery, and in-home diagnostics; and telehealth services via Apollo TeleHealth Services with franchised clinics and corporate wellness programs. Apollo Hospitals maintains a significant presence in major Indian cities and regions, targeting urban and semi-urban populations alongside international patients through medical tourism, with subsidiaries focused on research, education, and project consultancy. In September 2025, the company agrees to acquire International Finance Corporation's 31% stake in Apollo Health and Lifestyle for Rs 1,254 crore, making it a wholly owned subsidiary to sharpen focus on high-growth segments like primary care, diagnostics, birthing centers, and dialysis; it also inaugurates advanced facilities such as a state-of-the-art cath lab in Chennai and celebrates milestones including 600 pediatric liver transplants and 6,000 pediatric cardiac surgeries, while planning Rs 8,000 crore investments to add 4,300 beds over five years.
