Business
Dome Gold Mines Ltd Dome Gold Mines Limited (ASX:DME) is an Australia-based mineral exploration and development company focused on gold, copper, silver, and iron sands projects in Fiji. Incorporated in 2011 and headquartered at Level 46, 680 George Street, Sydney, New South Wales, the company operates through two primary segments: Iron Sand Project and Gold Projects; it holds 100% interests in three special prospecting licenses (SPLs) covering approximately 38,763 hectares on Viti Levu and Ono Islands. Its core assets include the Sigatoka Ironsands Project (SPL 1495), which spans 2,523 hectares on Viti Levu’s south coast and targets magnetite, ilmenite, and heavy mineral concentrates suitable for specialty furnaces and land reclamation tailings; the Ono Island Gold Project (SPL 1451), covering 3,028 hectares for epithermal gold exploration; and the Nadrau Copper-Gold Project (SPL 1452), encompassing 33,213 hectares adjacent to the Namosi porphyry system with targets at Wainivau, Namoli, Naqara East, and Naqara West for porphyry copper-gold and epithermal gold-silver mineralization. In August 2025, Dome Gold Mines launched a non-underwritten Share Purchase Plan to raise up to A$5 million from eligible shareholders to fund mining license prerequisites, commence operations at Sigatoka, accelerate production ramp-up, provide working capital, and advance other Fijian assets; the SPP closed in September 2025 with A$366,000 received and new securities quoted on the ASX, while recent activities include revisions to SPP timelines, director interest notices, and confidence in government approval for Sigatoka dredging plans. Through wholly owned Fijian subsidiaries Dome Mines Ltd and Magma Mines Ltd, the company maintains community engagement policies and pursues innovative sonic drilling and geophysical surveys to delineate drill targets across its portfolio.
