- Dynamic Metals Limited (ASX:DYM) is an Australia-based minerals exploration and development company focused on precious and critical metals, including lithium, nickel, gold, copper, platinum group elements (PGE), and related commodities. The company holds interests in multiple projects primarily in Western Australia, such as the Widgiemooltha Project (lithium, nickel, gold), Lindsays Project (nickel, copper, PGE), Higginsville (gold), Lake Percy (lithium, nickel), and Deep Well Project (nickel, copper, PGE); it also maintains a minority interest in the Prospect Ridge Joint Venture in Tasmania. Incorporated in 2022 following a demerger of Australian assets from Jindalee Resources Limited, Dynamic Metals is headquartered at 33 Richardson Street, West Perth, Western Australia.
The company conducts systematic exploration activities using geochemical, geophysical, and drilling techniques across its strategically located assets, which benefit from proximity to infrastructure including roads, rail, and processing facilities. Over 10,000 meters of drilling have been completed in the first nine months post-listing, with ongoing programs targeting substantial exploration opportunities in battery metals and gold to support global decarbonization themes. Dynamic Metals targets value creation through discovery and potential advancement to development or production stages, subject to exploration results, technical studies, and funding.
In March 2024, Dynamic Metals entered a binding joint venture and farm-in agreement with Mineral Resources Limited (ASX:MIN), under which Mineral Resources can earn up to 80% of lithium rights at the Widgiemooltha Project by paying $5 million in cash, sole-funding $15 million in exploration over four years to reach 65%, and further funding to a decision-to-mine. Recent exploration highlights include significant high-grade rock chip results at the Cognac West gold prospect within Widgiemooltha, such as 2040 grams per tonne gold (65 ounces per tonne), announced in late 2024, alongside a co-funded drilling grant and pivots toward gold amid challenging battery metals markets. In November 2024, the company reported advancements across key assets during the September quarter, maintaining a strong cash position while progressing drilling and target generation.
