Business
Lithium Energy Limited (ASX:LEL) is an Australia-based battery minerals company focused on the exploration, evaluation and development of lithium and graphite resources in Argentina and Australia. The company holds interests in the flagship Solaroz Lithium Brine Project, comprising eight mineral concessions covering 12,000 hectares in the Lithium Triangle region of northwestern Argentina with defined lithium resources amenable to brine extraction; and the Burke Graphite Project in North Central Queensland, featuring one of the world's highest-grade graphite deposits suitable for lithium-ion battery anodes and graphene production. Founded in 2021 and headquartered in West Perth, Australia, Lithium Energy targets the global energy transition through sustainable mineral development, with recent strategic shifts including receipt of US$6 million as the second deposit toward the A$97 million sale of its Solaroz project interests to CNNET (with 49.9% already divested and the balance due by January 2026), final environmental impact assessment approvals in February 2025 for advanced exploration at Solaroz's Central and Northern blocks, acquisition of a gold-copper project in Queensland in March 2025, a change of registered address in November 2025, and ongoing testwork with CSIRO for Burke graphite offtake optimization.
