Athens International Airport S.A. orchestrates the design, development, financing, construction, commissioning, upkeep, operations, and general management of the main international air travel hub in Greece. These encompass ground handling, diverse retail and catering concessions, information technology and telecommunications support, strategic real estate development and property leases, airport-wide advertising, specialized hospitality services, grid management, and arrangements for filming and photography. Formed in 1996, with operations starting in 2001, the entity recently completed a successful Initial Public Offering on the Athens Exchange in February 2024 and operates under a concession agreement extending until 2046. The company, headquartered in Spata, Greece, is actively pursuing an expansion plan to increase passenger capacity and is committed to achieving net-zero carbon emissions by 2025.
