Medicon Hellas S.A. is a Greece-based medical technology and healthcare company engaged in the research, development, manufacture, distribution, and servicing of in-vitro diagnostic (IVD) systems, medical equipment, and clinical software solutions. Founded in 1978 and headquartered in Gerakas, Athens, the company serves public hospitals, private clinics, independent medical laboratories, and diagnostic centers across Greece and international markets. The company's comprehensive product and service portfolio includes: in-vitro diagnostic reagents and test kits for clinical chemistry, hematology, immunology, microbiology, and molecular diagnostics; automated clinical analyzers and diagnostic instruments; general laboratory apparatus, including centrifuges, vortex mixers, precision micropipettes, and laboratory air decontamination units; specialized laboratory information systems (LIS) and digital medical workflow management software; routine and specialized outpatient clinical laboratory services through operated diagnostic facilities; technical maintenance, instrument refurbishment, calibration, and customer training services; and dermatological and personal care cosmetics marketed under the Miss Beaute brand name. In recent corporate developments, Medicon Hellas completed the divestment of its 50.9% majority stake in IT subsidiary Pliroforiki Ellados in July 2024 to streamline operational focus and concentrate capital on core diagnostic activities. In addition, the company launched a major infrastructure expansion program at its primary Gerakas facility, securing a 50-year land lease to develop dedicated warehousing capacity and repurpose existing space to support entry into diagnostic imaging fields, including computed tomography (CT) and digital mammography systems. Medicon Hellas also expanded its international market engagement and commercial distribution network through active participation at global industry exhibitions, including Medlab Middle East and MEDICA, driving post-pandemic sales growth across core hospital and private laboratory accounts.
