- Global X Rare Earth & Critical Materials ETF (B3: EART39; Nasdaq: EART), traded on B3 under the identification GX RAREARTH DRE, is an exchange-traded fund and sponsored Brazilian Depositary Receipt (BDR) managed by Global X Management Company LLC, a New York-based asset management firm founded in 2008 and a subsidiary of Mirae Asset Global Investments. The fund provides institutional and retail investors with targeted equity exposure to international companies engaged in the exploration, extraction, mining, refining, and processing of critical materials and rare earth elements vital to modern industrial applications, clean energy transition, robotics, electric mobility, energy storage systems, and advanced semiconductor technologies. The fund systematically allocates capital across core mineral and metal classifications, offering exposure to rare earth elements comprising neodymium, praseodymium, dysprosium, and terbium; battery and electrification metals including lithium, cobalt, nickel, and copper; industrial energy transition commodities such as manganese; advanced carbon materials including natural graphite and synthetic graphene; and platinum group metals including platinum and palladium. The underlying portfolio maintains diversified global geographic exposure spanning North America, Latin America, Europe, Asia-Pacific, and Africa through major industrial producers and mining corporations such as Anglo American plc, Freeport-McMoRan Inc., Southern Copper Corporation, Grupo México S.A.B. de C.V., Rio Tinto Group, Antofagasta plc, Impala Platinum Holdings Limited, Sumitomo Metal Mining Co., Ltd., and Hudbay Minerals Inc. In a major strategic realignment in March 2026, the fund executed an official name and mandate reorganization, transitioning from the Global X Disruptive Materials ETF (formerly ticker DMAT) to the Global X Rare Earth & Critical Materials ETF (ticker EART), simultaneously shifting its underlying benchmark to the Solactive Rare Earth and Critical Materials Index to sharpen its focus on strategic raw materials. Expanding its geographic investor accessibility, the manager cross-listed the fund's BDR program on Brazil's B3 exchange under ticker EART39 in July 2026, enabling Latin American investors to access global critical resource supply chains via local currency settlement.
