Its Consumer Banking division offers essential financial solutions such as traditional savings and money market accounts, certificates of deposit, individual retirement accounts, and various checking options. This segment also provides credit and debit cards, residential mortgages, home equity lines, alongside direct and indirect lending for needs like automotive and personal financing. The Global Wealth & Investment Management segment, encompassing Merrill and Bank of America Private Bank, specializes in investment management, brokerage, traditional banking, and trust and retirement offerings. It delivers comprehensive wealth management strategies and tailored solutions, including specialized asset management, to high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth clients. The Global Banking segment provides robust lending products, including commercial loans, leases, commitment facilities, trade financing, commercial real estate, and asset-based lending. It also supplies treasury solutions like treasury management, foreign exchange services, short-term investment vehicles, and merchant services, in addition to working capital management, debt and equity underwriting and distribution, and advisory services for mergers and acquisitions. Through its Global Markets segment, the company engages in market-making activities, financing, securities clearing, settlement, and custody services. It also develops and offers risk management products leveraging derivatives across interest rates, equity, credit, currency, and commodities, as well as foreign exchange, fixed-income, and mortgage-backed products. As a leading financial institution, Bank of America provides unmatched convenience, currently serving approximately 70 million U.S. consumer and small business clients. This extensive reach is supported by around 3,600 retail financial centers and approximately 15,000 automated teller machines across more than 100 markets in the United States. Furthermore, its award-winning digital banking platforms facilitate approximately 59 million verified digital users who engaged in a record 26 billion digital interactions in 2024. The company's heritage dates back to 1784, and its corporate headquarters are situated in Charlotte, North Carolina.
