EA Bridgeway Aggressive Investors ETF is an actively managed exchange-traded fund, traded under the ticker BAGX, that seeks long-term capital appreciation through a flexible, quantitatively managed U.S. equity strategy. The fund invests principally in publicly traded U.S.-listed companies across market capitalizations and sectors, using Bridgeway Capital Management LLC’s disciplined, statistical, evidence-based investment process to construct a diversified portfolio with multi-factor exposures. Its investment approach combines systematic security selection, academic research, efficient trading, diversification, and risk management, with the objective of providing long-term risk-adjusted investment performance across varying market environments. The ETF is a series of EA Series Trust, is sponsored and managed by Empowered Funds, LLC, and is sub-advised by Bridgeway Capital Management LLC, a Houston, Texas-based specialized investment manager founded in 1993. Bridgeway serves institutions, financial advisers, and individual investors through investment strategies, separately managed accounts, sub-advisory services, mutual funds, and ETFs.
BAGX represents the July 2026 ETF conversion of Bridgeway Funds’ Aggressive Investors 1 Fund, a strategy originally established in 1994. In February 2026, the Bridgeway Funds board approved a reorganization under which the Aggressive Investors 1 Fund transferred its assets and liabilities into the newly formed EA Bridgeway Aggressive Investors ETF; the fund’s shareholders received corresponding ETF shares, subject to cash treatment for fractional or ineligible holdings. The conversion retained the predecessor fund’s substantially similar investment strategy and portfolio management team while transitioning the product to an exchange-traded structure. The transaction formed part of Bridgeway’s broader 2026 expansion of its ETF platform, which also converted its Small-Cap Value Fund and Ultra-Small Company Market Fund into ETFs.
