Business
Bombardier Inc. designs, manufactures, modifies and maintains business aircraft worldwide; core products include the Global family of ultra-long-range jets such as Global 8000, Global 7500, Global 6500 and Global 5500; the Challenger family of super-midsize and large jets including Challenger 650 and Challenger 3500; and Learjet light business jets; additional offerings encompass specialized aircraft solutions through Bombardier Defense for missions including head-of-state transport, intelligence surveillance reconnaissance, maritime patrol, medevac and search-and-rescue; aerostructures and engineering services; pre-owned aircraft sales, certified pre-owned programs and market intelligence; and comprehensive aftermarket support via a global network of 10 service centers across six countries. Founded in 1942 and headquartered in Montreal, Canada, the company operates manufacturing facilities in Canada, the United States and Mexico, serving private individuals, businesses, governments and militaries with a fleet of over 5,100 aircraft in operation. Recent developments include a landmark US$1.7 billion firm order in June 2025 from BOND Aviation for 50 Challenger and Global jets with deliveries starting in 2027 and 70 purchase options that could elevate total value above US$4 billion, accompanied by a pioneering long-term service agreement; a December 2024 strategic partnership with Honeywell for next-generation avionics, propulsion and satellite communications on Global and Challenger platforms, resolving prior litigation and targeting up to US$17 billion in lifetime revenue; and the July 2023 acquisition of Latecoere's electrical wiring interconnection systems business to strengthen supply chain resilience.
