The company offers a comprehensive range of banking products and services such as commercial and consumer lending, overdrafts, lines of credit, secured mortgage loans, savings and merchant accounts, term deposits, non-interest bearing and interest-bearing checking accounts, credit and debit cards, payment processing for merchants, multi-currency deposit accounts, online banking, online stock trading, online merchant acquiring, and corporate services including company formation, administration, virtual office, bookkeeping, and shipping agent services; it also holds a 24.8% interest in Numar, an edible oil processing and distribution operation in Costa Rica. Headquartered in Belize City, Belize, with operations centered in Belize, the Turks and Caicos Islands, and interests in Costa Rica, CIHL serves domestic, international, individual, and corporate customers as the market leader in Belizean banking, where The Belize Bank maintains a head office and thirteen branches across six districts. In recent years, the company completed the acquisition of Scotiabank (Belize) Ltd. in 2021 for up to US$35 million, significantly expanding its Belizean banking operations and achieving immediate earnings enhancement through synergies; it launched the E-KYASH digital wallet payment service to support financial inclusion, targeting unbanked populations via mobile technology; delisted from the Bermuda Stock Exchange's Mezzanine Market in September 2022 and from AIM earlier; and continues to pursue strategic growth in Caribbean and Central American banking under a mobile-first and digitalization strategy.
