Business
Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS is a Turkey-based financial investment holding company primarily engaged in managing and optimizing a diversified portfolio of strategic equity participations across the building products, healthcare and pharmaceuticals, real estate, and consumer goods sectors. Founded on December 29, 1973, and headquartered in Istanbul, Turkey, the company operates as an investment vehicle within the Eczacıbaşı Group, maintaining significant equity stakes in core group enterprises including Intema Insaat ve Tesisat Malzemeleri Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS, EIS Eczacibasi Ilac, Sinai ve Finansal Yatirimlar Sanayi ve Ticaret AS, and parent conglomerate Eczacibasi Holding AS. Through its operating subsidiaries and affiliated companies, Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS provides products and services across multiple business segments: building products and interior fittings, encompassing the wholesale distribution, retail marketing, and project sales of ceramic sanitary ware, bathroom furniture, brassware, faucets, showers, ceramic wall and floor tiles, architectural building materials, and modular kitchen systems marketed under brands including VitrA, Artema, Intema, and Burgbad; healthcare and pharmaceuticals, comprising the import, licensing, contract manufacturing, marketing, and distribution of prescription medicines, generic pharmaceuticals, consumer healthcare products, radiopharmaceuticals for nuclear medicine imaging and therapy, and specialized medical diagnostic devices; real estate development and asset management, involving the development, commercial leasing, and property management of landmark office complexes, shopping centers such as the Kanyon mixed-use development in Istanbul, residential properties, and strategic land reserves; and financial holding operations, encompassing capital allocation, corporate governance, treasury administration, and long-term equity investment management. The company serves individual consumers, trade professionals, commercial contractors, healthcare institutions, and corporate tenants across Turkey, with affiliated product brands exported throughout Europe and broader global markets. In recent major company developments, Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS has advanced key real estate development projects and executed strategic portfolio adjustments. In December 2025, the company alongside Eczacibasi Holding AS and EIS Eczacibasi Ilac obtained Phase 1 building and construction permits for the major Kartal mixed-use urban regeneration project on coastal industrial land in Istanbul, developed under a revenue-sharing model. In addition, the company completed the strategic sale and transfer of its equity interest in smart card producer E-kart Elektronik Kart Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS to Germany-based Giesecke+Devrient Mobile Security GmbH, streamlining its holdings to focus on core strategic assets. The company also continues to enhance its balance sheet through disciplined capital redeployment into pharmaceutical manufacturing, modern retail showroom network expansions, and continuous dividend distributions to shareholders.
