Business
Klimasan Klima Sanayi ve Ticaret A.S. designs, manufactures, and markets commercial refrigeration equipment, plug-in cooling systems, and point-of-sale display solutions for the food, beverage, and retail sectors. Tracing its historical roots to 1915 and incorporated in its modern industrial structure in 1969, the company is headquartered in Manisa, Turkey, and operates as a key manufacturing and distribution subsidiary of Brazil-based Metalfrio Solutions Group. The company distributes its product portfolio globally under the Klimasan, Metalfrio, and Senocak brand names. The company operates through dedicated commercial refrigeration business lines, providing: vertical glass-door beverage coolers, including single, double, and triple-door merchandising chillers; horizontal and countertop coolers, back-bar beverage units, and sub-zero drink dispensers; commercial chest freezers, curved-glass impulse ice cream freezers, and upright frozen food storage units; supermarket display systems, multideck open chillers, island freezers, and plug-in retail showcases; specialty temperature-controlled equipment, including commercial wine cabinets and pharmaceutical storage units; and full-lifecycle support services, encompassing custom point-of-sale branding, IoT-enabled fleet monitoring, preventative maintenance, technical field services, and spare parts provisioning. Klimasan serves global beverage producers, multinational ice cream brands, dairy processors, supermarket chains, convenience stores, and hospitality (HoReCa) establishments across more than 100 countries throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. Production is centered in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, utilizing high-volume automated manufacturing lines with an annual capacity exceeding 800,000 units. In recent developments, Klimasan has advanced a major industrial expansion project covering a 141,068-square-meter land parcel in the Manisa Organized Industrial Zone, aimed at expanding modern production capacity, upgrading warehousing infrastructure, and streamlining European export logistics. The company has also accelerated its transition toward eco-friendly commercial cooling solutions, integrating low-GWP natural hydrocarbon refrigerants (R290 and R600a), high-efficiency variable-speed compressors, and ISO 50001 energy management frameworks across its product portfolio to comply with stringent European Union Ecodesign and Energy Labelling directives. In addition, the company has implemented executive management transitions and continuous operational restructuring programs to navigate macroeconomic volatility, optimize supply chain localization, and maintain competitive cost structures in international markets.
