Its core business activities and portfolio management services include: equity portfolio management with investments concentrated in publicly listed Turkish equities across the banking, industrial, holding, real estate investment trust, and services sectors; fixed-income investment management comprising government debt instruments, treasury bills, corporate bonds, and reverse repurchase agreements; precious metals investments and trading focused primarily on exchange-traded gold and silver assets; systematic risk diversification and capital protection services designed to maximize investment yield while minimizing downside market exposure; liquidity management and short-term money market placements; and capital market research, securities valuation, and macroeconomic analysis to support tactical asset allocation. The company serves domestic and international retail and institutional market participants by providing exposure to diversified asset classes through its publicly traded shares on Borsa Istanbul under the ticker symbol MTRYO. In recent company developments, Metro Yatirim Ortakligi A.S. has actively pursued corporate restructuring and balance sheet optimization strategies, including implementing an extensive share buyback program authorized by its Board of Directors to stabilize share valuation, entering into an agreement to acquire a 5% nominal stake consisting of privileged voting shares with a 44.12% voting power from affiliate Metro Menkul Degerler for TRY 85 million, and executing continuous strategic rebalancing across its equity holdings and group affiliate shares in alignment with Capital Markets Board regulatory frameworks.
